We were thrilled to host our most recent Secret Suppers gathering at Kidogo Arthouse, a unique exhibition space located right on the edge of the ocean in Fremantle.
Housed in a beautiful, heritage-listed building, the two gallery spaces within Kidogo provide a rustic backdrop to wide variety of art exhibitions, and over two nights we hosted long table dinners celebrating ‘Secrets de la Mer’.
A big thank you goes to Joanna Robertson, the Director of Kidogo, for accommodating our event and providing us with this dream venue to help bring our theme to life.
On arrival, our guests enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails and canapés on the deck overlooking the beach, watching nature’s pre-dinner entertainment show as the sun went down.
Nibbles included some mind-blowing triple-cooked chips (thanks for the tip, Mr Blumenthal!) and Spanish anchovies in olive oil, as well as refreshing cocktails of gin and fresh ruby grapefruit juice, mixed by Josh and Gabby from That Cocktail Guy.
Guests were then guided into the interior’s main gallery for a five-course seafood dinner.
Rebecca Coombes from The Bloom Romantic amazed us again by making an array of creations filled with dreamy, floating textures reminiscent of the ocean bed, as well as shells, coral and driftwood collected from many local beachcombing expeditions.
